At least two television stations are planning to broadcast live from the
Emerson PurpleHull Pea Festival this weekend.
Friday morning Tony Taglavore from Shreveport’s KSLA, Channel 12, will
be broadcasting segments of “Tony Live” from the tiller track at the
festival. The segments will air
between 5:30 and 7:00 a.m.
Then, Saturday morning, KATV, Channel 7, of Little Rock, will be
broadcasting live from the festival during portions of the “Saturday
Daybreak” program, which airs from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m.
Previously, the festival announced that a television crew from the
Nickelodeon Channel will be in attendance at the World Championship Rotary
Tiller Race to shoot footage for a segment of “Nick News,” a news program
for children.
The PurpleHull Pea Festival will be this Friday and Saturday, on and near
the grounds of Emerson High School.
