Rules and Regulations of
The World Tiller Racing Federation & the Weyerhaeuser 200 World Championship Rotary Tiller
Race Race
officials will make every attempt to accommodate every contestant and to
equally enforce all rules and regulations. Race
officials are responsible for race brackets. Race
officials are responsible to monitor the safety of the Tillers and Racers. The
World Tiller Racing Federation reserves the right to modify and interpret
the following rules as it sees fit for the safe and orderly running of the
“World Championship Rotary Tiller Race” All
Racers All Categories 1.
Rule #1 First and foremost always is SAFETY. Any tiller or tiller racer
that is determined unsafe will be disqualified, and will not be allowed to
race. 2.
Racers must sign release forms before race. 3.
All racers must wear shoes. 4.
There will be no riding of tillers. 5.
Racer must be in control when finish line is crossed. 6.
A three second penalty will be accessed if tiller strikes barriers between
lines. 7.
Only essential personnel are allowed in pit area. That is the owner and
racer only. 8.
In case of a tie, a run off will take place. 9.
One Tiller- Per Racer- Per Category. If you have more than one tiller in a
category, you must have a registered racer for each tiller. In the event a
racer cannot continue to race you may assign a new racer for that tiller,
but they must have a release form signed. 10.
All races started will be considered official unless both racers are
unable to complete race. In this case a re-run of that race will occur. “
ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS WILL BE PERMITTED AT RACE” Stock Divisions: 1.
SAFETY FIRST! All racers must be able to control their tillers. 2.
No Modifications Allowed.
Overall Stock: Must
be 3 horsepower and above. Youth Stock Young Men: Stock
rules apply. Must
be 3 horsepower and above. Ages
17 and under. Youth Stock Powder Puff: Stock
rules apply. Must
be 3 horsepower and above. Ages
17 and under. Flower Bed Tillers: Little Men Stock
rules apply. Must
be 2 horsepower and below. Ages
10 and under. Flower Bed Tillers: Little Ladies Stock
rules apply. Must
be 2 horsepower and below. Ages
10 and under. Modified Divisions: 1.
SAFETY FIRST! All racers must be able to control their tillers. 2.
Must have kill switch attached from the racers wrist to the ignition of
the engine. 3.
Safety inspection and drivers meeting before race begins. YOU DON’T SHOW
YOU DON’T RACE. 4.
Must wear eye protection. Super Duper Dirt Slangers: This
is our super modified men's category. Modified
rules apply Rip Roaring Tillers Of
The 90’s: This
is our TRUE Tiller Modified Class.
These must
be tillers, built on a tiller frame. Must be run through a tiller gearbox. Tines, motor, throttle control may be modified. Modified
Rules Apply. Times in this category usually run 7 to 11 seconds. World record held by "Killer Tiller," tiller pilot Jeff Gilbert, 7.47 seconds in 2002. Ladies Modified: Modified
rules apply. May run a Dirt Slanger or a Rip Roaring in this category. Proof
of recent “ MENTAL” Examination is a plus for approval of entry! World record held by "Radio Flyer," tiller pilot Lauri Waller, 7.11 seconds, set in 2003.
